Montavilla


Montavilla, which stands for Mt. Tabor Villa, is a cozy little community in SE Portland. In the 1890s the neighborhood was named Mt Tabor Village and was a stopping point for travelers going from Hood River into Portland. Today, Montavilla is an active neighborhood with craftsman style homes and a commercial district.

 

VIBE AND STYLE

The incredible sense of community in Montavilla has made it a fast-growing neighborhood. The community has an active neighborhood association and its own weekly newspaper. Tabor, the only active volcano within city limits in the United States, makes Montavilla irresistible to bikers and hikers.
